Your first to-do
Write a to-do on Today, give it to Lou, and see it come back done.
Write it down
Today is the first screen. It has one field for new to-dos.
- Open Today.
- Click the field and type your to-do, for example "Call Sam about the contract".
- Press Return. The to-do goes to Yours, your own list.
To jump to the field, press Space on Today, or click the plus in the toolbar. On the Mac you can also choose File > New To-Do (Command-N).
On the Mac, an empty Today offers starters such as Plan My Week, Answer My Email and Look Something Up. A starter fills the field. It never sends anything by itself.
Give it to a worker
A to-do in Yours is yours until you give it to a worker.
- Point to the to-do in Yours.
- Click Give to Lou. With more than one worker on your team, open Give To and choose a worker.
You can also press Command-Return in the field to give the line straight to Lou, or drag a to-do onto a worker's face at the top of Today.
The line under the field says "Lou has it." with Open Chat and Undo. Undo stops the work and puts the to-do back in Yours.
Watch it happen
Once a worker has a to-do, the worker shows Busy, and the to-do moves under Working. The to-do gets its own chat with the worker, named after the to-do. Click the row to open it and follow each step.
If the worker needs something from you, the to-do moves under Needs You with the one thing it needs, such as Allow.
When it is done
Finished work goes to Done, at the end of Today, with the result under its title. Click the row to open the chat and the full result.
If the result is not right, click Send Back and write one line about what should change. The worker tries again.
Mark your own to-do as done
For a to-do you do yourself, click its circle. It moves to Done. Click the circle again in Done to put it back.
If your first to-do stops
Workers need AI to work. If you chose Look Around First and have no subscription and no AI key yet, the first to-do pauses and offers the same choices as the first screen. Start a subscription, or add your own key in Settings > AI Access, and the work picks up where it stopped.
