A worker is stuck or slow

Find out what a task is waiting for, and how to get it going again.

Updated

Check whether it needs you

Look at the top of Today. A task under Needs You waits for you before it goes on:

  • Allow: the worker asks before a step.
  • Answer: the worker has a question.
  • Review: the result is ready for you to look at.
  • Help: the worker is stuck and needs your help.

Only the person who started a task can answer it. Open the task and choose what to do.

Check your Mac

A step on your Mac waits for the Mac app.

  1. Make sure the Mac app is open on that Mac and signed in.
  2. In the Mac app, open Settings, then Your Mac, and check that work on your Mac is on.
  3. A request to allow waits only a few minutes, so answer it soon.

Check for a limit

Open the task's chat. If work stopped at a limit, the chat says which one and when it comes back:

  • "Work stopped: this month's work is used.", or the same for this week or these 5 hours: choose Add More Work or Move Up, or wait until it frees up.
  • "This task reached its limit on Little Worker AI.": send a message to continue.
  • A stop at the monthly Limit you set: choose Raise Limit, or raise it in Settings > Cost on the web.
  • "Work stopped: your team needs AI to work.": choose a subscription, or use your own AI in AI Access.

Watch what it is doing

The chat shows each step as the worker takes it. Bigger to-dos, such as a research brief or a job in a browser, take more steps and more time.

Stop it

On the Mac, choose Chat > Stop in the menu bar while the chat is open. Then send a new message to start again.

Still stuck

Email support@thelittleworker.com with the email address you sign in with, the worker's name, the to-do, and where you saw it: the web, the Mac app, or the iPhone app.
