Choose what workers may do in an app

Each connected app has Permissions for reading and acting, and switches for each thing it can do.

Updated

Permissions

Open Apps, then click a connected app. Its Permissions group has two rows:

  • Read: On lets workers read from the app. Off stops them.
  • Act: what workers may change in the app.
    • Allow: workers act without asking each time.
    • Ask First: a worker waits for your answer before it changes anything in the app.
    • Off: workers cannot act in the app.

The choice is for the whole workspace, and it takes effect on a worker's next step.

Choosing Allow

When you choose Allow for Act, Little Worker asks you to confirm. Workers can then create, change and send things in that app on their own. Anything the app marks as able to delete, and anything it does not describe, still asks first.

The app marks its own actions, so choose Allow only for apps you trust. To go ahead, click Allow Without Asking. You can change this at any time in Apps.

Answering an app request

With Ask First, the worker stops and asks before the app acts. The request offers Allow and Don't Allow for that one action. Its card has Open Apps, to change the app's permissions.

Details

Under Permissions, Details opens a list of each thing the app can do, each with its own switch. Turn a switch off to stop workers from doing that one thing.

Each switch is for every worker. A worker's own page can change it for that worker.

Recent Actions

Recent Actions on the app's page lists what workers did in the app, newest first. Click Show More to see older ones.
