Install the Mac app
Download Little Worker for Mac, move it to Applications, and sign in.

What your Mac needs
The Download page names the version of macOS the app needs, right under Download for Mac. The main download is for a Mac with Apple silicon. When a version for a Mac with Intel is out, the page links it under the main button.
Install the app
- Open the Download page and click Download for Mac.
- Double-click the download to open it.
- Drag Little Worker into your Applications folder.
- Open Little Worker from Applications.
Sign in
The Mac app has the same choices as the web and iPhone: Continue with Apple, Continue with Google, Continue with GitHub, or your email address and Continue with Email.
- Apple, Google and GitHub open in your browser. The app says Continue in your browser and goes on by itself when you finish. If you closed the browser, click Open Browser Again.
- With email, Little Worker sends you a 6-digit code. Enter it on the Check your email screen and click Continue.
Use the same sign-in you use on the web or iPhone, and the Mac shows the same workspace. If your account is in more than one workspace, the app asks you to choose one.
The first time you sign in
A new account opens on "Your team needs AI to work." Choose one:
- Start Small starts the Small subscription.
- See All Subscriptions shows every subscription.
- Use Your Own AI connects a key from an AI account you already pay for, which is free here.
- Look Around First opens the app without choosing yet.
After you install
- Lou sits in the menu bar with what needs you and who is busy. To hide him, open Settings, then General, and turn off Show in menu bar.
- Press Control-Space in any app to open Quick Capture, which adds a to-do or gives a worker a task.
- Workers cannot work on your Mac until you allow it. A new install starts with work on your Mac off.
